ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND FIRST    ANNIVERSARY 

Pats wife Catherine and sons Derek and Robert would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St Marys ward Mercy Hospital Cork for their kindness while looking after Pat. To my family, friends and neighbours and all who attended the funeral services, all who gave mass cards and donations to the Irish Guide Dogs. To Joe Coughlan and staff who gave Pat a beautiful and dignified funeral. Thank you Joe ,you did him proud. Thank you to the staff of Washington Street courthouse for their support through the years. Thanks to Dr Denis O Sullivan Medigroup Cathedral Rd. To my daughter-in-law Elaine and Jessica for supporting my sons through a very hard few years. Thank to my Sisters Susan and Helen for supporting me through the hard times. Thanks to Roy Keane for visiting Pat with kindness and respect, it meant the world to Pat. A heartfelt thanks to everyone. 

Since the day you left Pat, my heart is broke in two, life has never been the same, i miss you, you were my life, my friend and my rock, i miss your face, your smile and your humour,  you were one of a kind Pat, and I miss the life we had together, I was so proud to be your Wife, until we meet again, I will love you forever .   Your devoted and loving wife, Catherine.

Every time I think of you, my heart just fills with pride, and though ill always miss you, Dad, I know you are by my side. The world lost a wonderful man, but i lost my whole world. Theres not much more I can say apart from I love you and miss you everyday.    Your loving son Robert and Jessica.

If I could write a story, it would be the greatest ever told, of a kind and loving Father with a heart of pure gold, i could write a million pages, and still i couldn't say, just how much I miss him every single day.  Id remember all he taught me, without him i am sad, he'll send me down the answers, and he'll always be my Dad.  Your loving son Derek and daughter-in-law Elaine.
