 Patricia (Pat) Byron
(née Bermingham)

Ballinlough, Cork

The family of the late Patricia Byron of Ballinlough who passed away on Christmas Eve 2024 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the removal, funeral and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to her sisters Bernadette, Margaret & Catherine and much loved nieces Claire, Joanna, Veronica & Louise for their care & support offered to us as a family. It is & was appreciated more than we can say.

Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Christopher's ward, Marymount University Hospital & Hospice for the care & compassion shown to our Mum & Grandmother.. We will always be eternally grateful. Angels on our shoulders.

Thank you to all who contributed in the mass, Kieran Barrett & The Orchard Bar and Jerh O'Connor Funeral Directors for all the assistance, guidance and professional handling of the funeral arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

As Christmas Eve came rolling in & the birds sang in the trees...My dad he came and took your hand and said Pat Ber come home with me..

My heart broke into pieces, my tears pooled on the floor I knew you couldn't stay with me to suffer anymore..

Oh my Mum I miss you, I miss you everyday

Losing you left a heartache that never goes away

I miss our conversations that lasted long into the night, I miss your laugh, your endless love and your motherly advice, I miss your gentle calming voice and how you used to say... Stick on the kettle there Nine, how it brightened up my day...

Oh my Mum watch over us just as you used to do, wrap your arms around my dad until I can do so too

Now that you are no longer here and I can no longer hold your hand, I know one day we'll all be together, this much I understand.

But until that day comes when I can hold you oh so tight.. may you rest in eternal peace my Mum..

I love you Mum, sleep tight x
