The parents of Patrick, Eamon and Kathleen, sisters Susanna and Maria and our extended family wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us following the sad loss of our wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin and dear friend Patrick.
We are sincerely thankful to all who travelled to be with us, those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages and online condolences, the many people who came to sympathise with us at Finnegan’s Funeral Home and those who attended Patrick’s Funeral Mass. Your presence, prayers, and kind words brought great strength and comfort to our family during this most difficult time.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Gerard Cassidy and Fr. Jason Murphy for the beautiful and comforting Requiem Mass and to Declan Finnegan, Keith Guilfoyle, Bernard McPhillips and all at Finnegan’s Funeral Home for your professionalism, care and guidance in carrying out Patrick’s funeral arrangements, to the gravediggers who prepared Patrick’s final resting place with such dignity, to Jim Leonard and Carmel Fay for the beautiful music and Joe Leonard for his lovely Eulogy, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
We are deeply thankful to the staff and management of the Kilmore Hotel for your kindness, the warm hospitality, and the refreshments you shared at the funeral home. The guard of honour you formed with the Liverpool Supporters Club and Ballyhaise GAA was a beautiful tribute. It meant the world to see Patrick honoured with such love—it was a moment full of heart, and a true reflection of the friendship and community that surrounded him.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Paramedics, Fire Service Crew, Garda Síochána, and to Monica and Declan Tierney for your help during a time when we needed it most. Your sensitivity, kindness and compassion meant more than words can express.
Sincere thanks also to Jim Burke and all the staff at Cullies Service Station for providing food at our home, to Cavan Travel, Willie Reilly for stepping in to manage the farm and Gerry Quinn for helping out at the house.
Finally, we are eternally grateful to everybody who supported us over the difficult few days especially our family, friends and neighbours. It is impossible to thank you individually and we hope you accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.
Patrick’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Sunday, 1st of June at 10.30am in St. Mary’s Church, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan. Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
