 Patrick (Pat) Browne

Richardstown, Clane, Kildare / Swinford, Mayo

The loved ones of the late Patrick (Pat) Browne, Richardstown Clane wish to acknowledge, with great appreciation, the kindness and support shown to us on our very sad loss.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to all those who cared for Patrick during his short illness. Dr. Adrian Fadden, Jonathon and the staff of Marrons Pharmacy, the doctors and nurses at the Mater and Beaumont Hospitals, his Palliative care nurse Angela, and members of Clane Primary Care.

We also remember with thanks Patrick's many loyal friends for your friendship over the years.

We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and neighbours who supported us with great kindness in the days following Patrick’s death. Those who sent food and refreshments, and who paid their respects by standing on the roadside on Patrick's final journey from Richardstown showed amazing solidarity. To those who sent mass cards, letters of sympathy, floral tributes, made phone calls, travelled long distances and sent RIP messages from near and far, your kind gestures were very much appreciated.

Thank you to all who joined us online for the funeral Mass, we appreciate that you would have been with us in person if it had been possible. Your presence was still felt and meaningful to all of us.

To every member of Clane GAA Club, both past and present, who were such a huge part of Patrick’s life over many years, we would like to say a very sincere thank you. Patrick took huge pride in the club and the community surrounding it. The outpouring of sentiment since Patrick’s passing is a source of great comfort to us.

We will be forever indebted to the wonderful people who formed a guard of honour along the route and those who carried his coffin from the clubhouse to the church. A special word of thanks to the young men from the team Patrick mentored and formed such an unbreakable bond with. While it was difficult to see them struggle with the emotion of the event, their strength and connection with Patrick was incredible to witness and gave us heart.

A huge thank you to Fr. Paul O’Boyle and Fr. Denis Harrington who offered prayers at his home and celebrated his requiem Mass.  We would also like to show our appreciation to all who contributed to the mass celebrating Patrick’s life making it such a memorable ceremony.

Finally a word of thanks to Paul Reilly and his team at Reilly Undertakers for their great professionalism and sensitivity shown to us.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable.  As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude and appreciation.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
