Patrick (Pat) Guilfoyle

 Patrick (Pat) Guilfoyle

Ballyshannon, Donegal

His wife Carmel,  daughters Lisa, Patricia, Maeve, Carmel,  and sons-in-law Joey and Karsten, wish to acknowledge and extend our sincere thanks for all the expressions of sympathy, condolence and kindness, not to mention support received  from our extended family, neighbours, friends and community on our recent loss.  We are so grateful for your kind words, thoughts and prayers, all which have brought us such consolation.

As it is impossible to thank each person individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has supported and continue to support us during this time.

We are grateful to all who called to the house, and who brought and prepared food. Thank you to those who attended the wake, to those who travelled from all corners of Ireland to attend Pat’s  funeral mass  and to those who joined the mass via webcam. We would also like to thank all who contributed to the ceremony through readings, prayers, offertory and pallbearing.

Especial thanks to Fr. Cathal O’Fearraí, Fr. Dermot Burke, and Fr. Herbie Bromley for their compassion and prayers at the house, to the celebrant Fr. O’Fearraí and concelebrant Fr. Burke for the thoughtful and considered homily. Thank you also to Fr. Herbie, his life-long friend, for leading prayers by the graveside.

We wish to thank Patrick McKenna for the thoughtful, unobtrusive, and practical guidance and kindness in which he dealt with the funeral arrangements.

Pat’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in St. Patrick’s Chapel, Ballyshannon, on Saturday, 24th June, at  6.15 p.m.
