 Paul Conmy

Meenaun, Culleens, Sligo

Died 2nd June 2021

His wife Breda, daughters Caroline, Siobhan, Elaine and son Keith, together with extended family, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us on our recent sad loss.

Thank you to everyone who sympathised with us, whether it was in person, through Mass and sympathy cards, letters, enrolements, floral tributes, phone calls or messages online and to all who donated to charity in Paul's memory.

Thank you to Rev. Canon George McHale for his friendship and many visits to Paul during his illness and especially for celebrating his funeral Mass and for his kind and comforting words. Thank you to Fr. Gerry O’ Hora for his visits and concelebrating the funeral Mass, to Marian who took communion to Paul on Sundays which he cherished and also to our dear friend Sean Rutledge.  Thank you to Daphne and Una for the beautiful music and singing.  Thank you to those who travelled to be with us and we remember those also who were unable to attend due to restrictions but joined on the live stream.

Thank you to Dr Seamus Higgins for his kindness to Paul over the years and especially during his illness, also to Dr Patrick McSharry and all the staff at the Health Centre Enniscrone for their help and kindness and to the PHN’s, OT’s and Rory.  Thank you to Dr Kevin Murphy and team SUH for their care and kindness to Paul during his illness, to the IMNDA and to the Palliative Care Team especially Noreen who was with us in his final hour. Thank you to Olivia and Staff at Foodys Pharmacy and to all who made it possible for him to be cared for at home.

Thank you to those who stood out so reverently along the route to the church, at the church grounds and cemetery and to the guards of honour; we are deeply grateful and appreciative of your solidarity and support.  Paul would have felt so proud.

Thank you also to our wonderful family and friends who brought food and refreshments to our home and to those who remained with us over those difficult days.  Thank you to the Ocean Sands Hotel for the catering provided.  We have been deeply moved by the outpouring of kindness in so many ways.  It will never be forgotten.

Thank you to David, Brid and Gerry at McGowan Funeral Directors for their dedication and professionalism in taking care of the funeral arrangements and to the grave diggers and David who prepared his final resting place so beautifully.

A special thank you to Sligo County Council for adjourning their monthly meeting and for the kind words expressed about Paul.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Mass will be offered for the intention of all.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
