Peggy's husband Myles, son Neil, daughters Deborah, Fidelma, Lisa and sisters Bridget, Josie, Patricia and all our family, wish to express our most sincere thanks to everyone who offered condolences and support throughout Mammy's funeral and during the time since.  Thank you to all those who visited our home, attended Mammy's removal, funeral mass and burial, sent mass cards, letters and floral tributes, those who travelled long distances to be with us and say your goodbyes and to all those who phoned, or shared kind messages online.

 

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the many people who supported Peggy throughout her illness, to our incredible family, friends and the compassionate professionals who provided such exceptional care. Special thanks to : Dr. Trevor Nicholson, St. Vincent's Private Hospital, Prof. Karen Redmond, Beacon Hospital, Dr. Deirdre Waterhouse, Gemma Weld and the dedicated staff at Blackrock Clinic, Dr. June Coates, Arklow Medical Practice, Neil Gallagher & Staff, Aughrim Pharmacy, The outstanding Home Care Team, Palliative Team and the Daffodil Nurses from the Irish Cancer Society. Your kindness and care meant the world to Peggy and to all of us.

 

We would like to thank Fr. Diarmuid Byrne for the prayers and beautiful funeral mass, and to Niamh Penston and Niamh O' Connor for such lovely music and songs. Our heartfelt gratitude to Byrne's Funeral Directors for their kindness and professionalism throughout the funeral. Thanks to Angela & staff at D'Lish, Helen & staff at Daybreak, Naip and staff at Pescegrande and Jill O' Neill, Annacurra, and to the management & staff of the Woodenbridge Hotel for their hospitality after the funeral.

 

Peggy's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 28th September, at 8pm in the Sacred Heart Church, Aughrim.
