Peter Canavan

 Peter Canavan

Avoca, Wicklow

Matt, Nancy, Lucy, Caitriona, Shane, Amira and all Peter’s family wish to express their most sincere gratitude for the many condolences they received at the time of Peter’s sudden & unexpected passing.

Thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to visit the Funeral Home, to attend Peter’s Removal, Funeral Mass and burial and to all those who sent Mass cards, letters, texts and messages of sorrow and support online. Thanks also to those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Peter’s life via webcam and those who donated generously to Avoca / Conary Community First Responders in Peter’s memory;

Our heartfelt thanks to the Gardaí and the emergency services who assisted us on the day Peter passed away. A very special thank you also to our kind neighbour Dermot Moore.

Special thanks to Fr. Michael Murphy for his prayers, guidance and beautiful Funeral Mass, to the sacristy team at St’s Mary & Patrick’s Church and to Naoimh Penston for her lovely music.

To our extended families, our colleagues, neighbours and friends, we thank you for your continued support and kindness.

Thanks also to the management and staff of The Woodenbridge Hotel for their hospitality. To Jason and Tom for tending to the grave and to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Peter’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 22nd June at 11.30am in St.’s Mary & Patrick’s Church.

Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam:
