Peter’s son Stephen, his daughters Ursula & Fiona & all his family wish to extend their most sincere thanks for the compassion & support shown to them throughout their recent sad loss.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home & to all those who attended Peter’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, especially those who travelled long distances. Thank you to those who sent floral tributes, Mass cards, letters or texts, those who phoned, wrote or shared kind condolences & happy memories online. Thanks also to those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Peter’s life via the parish webcam.
Our most sincere thanks to the Wicklow Hospice Palliative Care team, the Irish Cancer Society Night Nursing Service and all at Bluebird Care who ensured Peter was able to remain at home. Thanks also to the team at Sheltonville Surgery & at Duffy’s pharmacy for their continued support during Peter’s illness.
Special thanks to Fr. Pádraig Ó’Cochláin & Fr. Martin Jose for their prayers & words of comfort, and to Michael Flood and Patricia Kavanagh for the beautiful music.
Thank you to the Bridge Hotel Golf Society for their Guard of Honour & to Arklow Girl Guides for their representation at the funeral.
To our extended families, our work colleagues, our neighbours & our friends, your continued support & kindness is much appreciated & will never be forgotten.
Thanks also to Seán & Gillian in Delightfully Delicious for their generosity, to the management & staff of The Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, to Jason & Tom for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Peter’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 19th July at 6.30pm in Sts Mary & Peter’s Church. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the parish webcam:
