Acknowledgement & Month's Mind

The brothers and sisters of the late Peter Murphy, who died on the 30th January 2023 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. Thank you to those who attended the funeral home, requiem mass and burial, those who sent mass cards, text messages, sympathy cards, those who sent their condolences online and those who made charitable donations.

We acknowledge and are very grateful for the wonderful care and attention given to Peter by the doctors, nurses, carers and staff at I.C.U. Wexford General Hospital. We would like to thank the ambulance service and Peters friends at the scene. Thanks to the doctors and staff at Walsh’s Health Centre, New Ross who looked after him during his life and the Irishtown Pharmacy.

Thanks to Fr. Gerald O’Leary P.P. For his kindness and guidance, also Fr. Michael Doyle, C.C. and Fr. Matt Boggan, P.P. to Mary Crosbie for her lovely music and singing, the stewards, gravediggers and Joanne Cooney and her staff for their care and professionalism.

Thanks to Park Rangers Soccer Club and The Wexford Harriers Hunt Club for their guard of honour at the funeral and also to Derek O’Connor for his contribution at the graveside. Thanks to Pat Kent for the live straming and the Horse and Hound for the beautiful meals served after the funeral. We are truly grateful.

As we cannot thank everyone individually, please accept our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

Peter’s months mind mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 4th March 2023, at 7pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Terrerath.
