Philomena Hughes

 Philomena Hughes
(née Bailey)

Artane, Dublin / Marino, Dublin

The family of the late Philomena (Phyllis) Hughes (nee Bailey) of Artane/Marino who died on 1 February 2020 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many relatives, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who came to the nursing home, attended the mass and cremation and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, sent text messages, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to the wonderful staff of the Talbot Lodge Nursing Home for their care, love and respect shown at all times to Phyllis and her family; for all those who participated in the celebration of the Mass, Fr. Michel and Fr. Peter, the beautiful music and hymns provided by the musicans and singers, the special poem written and read by Phil, and Paul Murphy and all at Murphy Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.

To those who helped in anyway we will always remember your kindness.   We are trying to thank everyone individually but if we are unable to contact you, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The First Anniversary Mass for Phyllis will be held on 7 February 2021 at 11.30 in St. John Vianney Church, Artane, Dublin 5. Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions there will be no attendance in the church.
