Philomena (Phil) Burke

 Philomena (Phil) Burke
(née Hackett)

Clonmel, Tipperary

As we lovingly remember Phil on the First Anniversary of her death, her husband Bartley, daughters Karen, Elaine and Róisín, sons David, Páraic and Aidan, sister Nuala, and all of her family would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those who supported us at the time of Phil’s funeral and since her passing.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the relatives, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who attended Phil’s reposal and funeral Mass, telephoned and sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences. Your kind words and gestures have been of immense support during this difficult time.

A special word of thanks to Phil’s many friends and teaching colleagues, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us.  Your support during our time of need was truly appreciated.

We would like to thank Fr Billy Meehan who celebrated Phil’s funeral Mass, and Arundo for their beautiful music. We would also like to thank Condon’s Funeral Directors Clonmel for their kindness and professionalism, and to all at Hotel Minella for their hospitality after the reposal and burial.

Sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel for the wonderful care given to Phil during her final weeks. Thanks also to all at Place4U, Clonmel, for the kindness and support shown to Bartley over the past year.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest gratitude. Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

In ár gcroíthe go deo.

Phil’s First Anniversary Mass will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Irishtown, Clonmel at 12:00 noon on Sunday, 28th July 2024.  Phil’s mother, Kathleen Hackett, whose 3rd anniversary was on the 21st June, will also be remembered at this Mass.
