Thank you to all our kind neighbours and friends who called to the house, to all those who attended the funeral mass or joined us through the webcam. To those who sent Mass Cards & flowers, to those who phoned, wrote or text and to those who shared comforting messages of condolence online.

A special word of thanks to Dr. Clarke, Castleblayney Cancer Society, Coyles Pharmacy and to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care - especially Denise and Niamh. Their support throughout Ray's short illness was very much appreciated.

Our sincere thanks to the members of the Irish Defence Forces who honoured Ray, their presence, respect and professionalism gave us great comfort and paid fitting tribute to Ray's life and service and to Castleblayney Sluagha and ex members of the Defence Forces who provided the guard of honour along Ray's cortège.

A very special thank you to Fr Adi Walshe for celebrating Ray's funeral mass, for taking the time to speak so eloquently about Ray's life, to the Sacristan of St Mary's Church Tom and to Liebe Kelly & Patrice Doherty for the beautiful church music.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Wards Funeral Directors for their exceptional guidance, care and professionalism during this difficult time. Their support and attention to detail brought great comfort to our family and we are deeply grateful for the dignity and compassion with which everything was handled.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Ray's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday the 6th of September 2025 at 6pm in St. Mary's Church, Castleblayney.
