The family of the late Richard (Richie) O’Connor, Mornington, Co. Meath, who passed away on 5th November 2025, wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with them on their recent sad loss.

We are deeply grateful to our many friends, neighbours and well-wishers, and to those who travelled long distances to Richard’s viewing, attended the Funeral Mass and burial, and supported us in so many ways during this difficult time.

Our sincere thanks to Fr. Ciprian Solomon and Fr. Hugh Kavanagh for their beautiful Mass and their support.

We would also like to extend our deep appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of The Bettystown Medical Practice, to Conor at Burke’s Pharmacy, and to the Doctors, Nurses, Palliative Care Team and Staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion and dignity shown to Richard and to our family throughout his short illness.

Sincere thanks to the Guards of Honour from Donacarney Celtic FC and Drogheda Grammar School.

To all who telephoned, sent Mass cards or messages, floral tributes, or made charitable donations to The Gary Kelly Centre, thank you most sincerely.

A special word of heartfelt thanks to Townley’s Funeral Directors for their care, compassion and gentle guidance throughout every stage of the arrangements. Their professionalism and kindness brought great comfort and reassurance to us at a very difficult time.

Thank you also to Elaine’s wonderful work colleagues and friends in Drogheda Credit Union, and to the Principal and Staff of Drogheda Grammar School, who have been so supportive during the past six months. Your kindness and support have not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful.

Richie will be deeply and sadly missed, but he will always be remembered x
