On the First Anniversary of our adored Son, RORY, we, his loving parents Karen and Paul wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us during this very difficult time.  Our thanks to those who attended the reception in our home, Removal and Funeral Mass, and to those who sent  Mass Cards, letters and floral tributes.  Our heartfelt thanks to Rory's Grandparents Eugene and Pauline Burke and to John and Cornellia Meany.  We also wish to express our sincere thanks to Rory's aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and neighbours. Rory had a huge circle of friends who continue to play a significant part in our lives for which we are blessed.  To Rory's work colleagues in Nutri Bio, Cork and Carbery Group Ltd. for their support.  Our special appreciation to Rory's team-mates from Old Christians RFC, CBC Cork, Munster Rugby, Cork Constitution FC, Nottingham Rugby, Connacht Rugby and the IRFU.  To O'Connors  Undertakers, Coburg Street for their professionalism.  As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this Acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation.

Rory's First Anniversary Mass will take place this evening (Saturday) 9th August at 6pm in St. Joseph's Church, Mayfield.

We didn't love you - we love you still.

In the present tense.  In the here and now.

In this breath and the next.

You are not gone from our hearts

nor will you ever be.

Just because this earth no longer holds your body

doesn't mean that our souls are not entwined.

We are mingling every day.

Joined at the horizon of this world and the next.

you weren't ... your are

you didn't ... you do

you can never be erased.
