Rose Keenan R.I.P. The family of the late Rose Keenan (nee Flynn), Spellickanee, Riverstown, Dundalk, sons and daughters, Fr. Padraig, Marie, Briege, Peadar, Michael, Thomas, Ciaran, son-in-law Pat, daughters-in-law Margaret, Geraldine and Irene, Michael's partner Sara, her sister Susan Hanratty, grandchildren Roisín, Seán, Colm, James, Shane, Tora, Teo, Thomas, Patrick, Aine, Cailín, Majella, Lorna, Andrew and Aoife, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends wish to thank all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.

Rose departed peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday the 5th of December 2021. Her family are truly thankful for her life of eighty five years as a wife, widow, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend. The quotation from the Book of Proverbs captures the charisma of Rose's life, 'Many women have done wonders, but you surpass them all' With her parting from this earthly life, Rose is united in the peace of heaven with her late parents James and Elizabeth Flynn, her husband Peadar J, son Colm, brothers Larry, Tom and Patsy, sister Vera Keenan and nephew Brian Cawley.

The family are truly grateful to the medical and nursing professions for their wonderful care and love shown to Rose throughout her illness by all in Beaumont and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitals, Doctors Home Carers and the Palliative Care Team and to Mr. John 'Callaghan c/o Jenkinstown Pharmacy. In light of Covid 19 guidelines and the elements of storm Barra the family are truly thankful for the support and prayers of all which will always be a source and comfort by those who supported the family during the wake, messages of condolences on R.I.P.ie emails, texts, Mass and sympathy cards, letters of sympathy, telephone and floral tributes.

The Eucharistic Celebration of Thanksgiving was celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Lordship on Tuesday, 7th December, at 12 noon by Fr. Padraig, concelebrated by Most Rev. Michael Router, D.D. Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh, Very Rev. Fr. Robert McKenna, PE. Camlough and Very Rev. Fr. Padraig Murphy, PE. Jenkinstown. The presentation of the symbols reflecting her life were offered by Aoife, Cailin, Colm and Marie. The Liturgy of the Word was proclaimed by Michael and Peadar and the Prayers of Intercessions were read by Thomas, Lorna, Andrew, Áine, James and Patrick. The Offertory Procession by Briege, Shane and Patrick and the Communion Reflections, 'The Love of a Mother' read by Roisín and poem by Majella. The music at the Rite of Reception, piano by Cailín and the music and singing during the Liturgy was by Organist Brendan McCourt and Soloist Sarah McCourt. The family are indebted to the support of Very Rev. Stephen Duffy P.P. Lordship and Ballymascanlon, the Sacristan Rose McEneaney and Dermot Clarke Deacon, Haggardstown and Blackrock. The Rite of Reception and Final Commendation was celebrated by Most Rev. Michael Router.

The family are truly grateful by the support of Most Rev. Eamon Martin DD. Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland and Most Rev. Michael Router for calling to the family home and leading all present in prayer. They also wish to thank His Eminence Cardinal Sean Brady, DCL, DD Archbishop Emeritus of Armagh, Benedictines, c/o Holy Cross Monastery, Rostrevor, Clergy, Deacons and Religious Sisters for their support and prayers. Our appreciation to Vidfuneral for live streaming of the Mass. Thanks to all those who showed their respect and reverence as the funeral cortege made its way from the family home to St. Mary's Church, to those who assembled on the Church grounds and for all who attended the Rite of Burial.

Our appreciation to all those who co-ordinated the traffic and for the guard of honour by St. Patrick's and Dundalk Gaels G.F.C. Clubs. In light of storm Barra, the family are grateful to all who ensured that the Funeral Liturgy was celebrated in safety, protected from the elements by M.J. Duffy and Sons Ltd, Evan White Electrical and Audio Comm. The family are forever grateful for the wisdom and guidance of Rosemary, c/o McGeough's Funerals and the professional and caring manner in which Rosemary, Oisín, Jim, Declan and Ronan fulfilled their roles. Thanks to Paul Rogers, the gravedigger for his professionalism.

We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all in grateful appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been celebrated for the intentions of all. The Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Lordship on Sunday the 9th of January at 10a.m.
