ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND MONTH'S MIND MASS NOTICE

ROY MCDONAGH, MEELAHAN BRIDGE, AUGHRIM, AND FORMERLY OF ROGERSTOWN CLONFERT, BALLINASLOE, CO. GALWAY WHO DIED ON 30TH NOVEMBER 2022.

We, Roy’s family, his wife Brenda, sons Conor and Ronan, daughter Maeve, mother Margaret, and brother Patrick, brother-in-Law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on the recent and unexpected death of our beloved Roy.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to our many relatives, friends, colleagues, neighbours and many friends, who called to our home, phoned, sent messages, travelled long distances, came to the funeral home, the Church, and the cemetery during Roy’s funeral. Thank you to those who offered support in so many ways, we are truly grateful. 

Thank you to Fr Gerry Geraghty for your support on the evening of Roy’s passing, and in the days that followed. Thank you to Fr Christy McCormack, Fr Iomar Daniels, and Arch Deacon Rev John Godfrey for officiating with Fr Geraghty at Roy’s Funeral Mass, and to Fr Declan McInerney for joining us at the cemetery.

We would like to thank Dr Mary Murphy GP, Dr Soomro Portuncula Hospital, Prof John Lee, UHG, and Prof Ross MacNicholas, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Dublin and all the wonderful healthcare staff who looked after Roy over the past 3 years. 

We would like to thank the first responder, the ambulance crews, the gardai, the doctor, and the mortuary staff of Portuncula Hospital for your care and compassion at such a difficult time.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Valerie Seale for her beautiful singing, to the gravediggers who prepared Roy’s final resting place, and to Flynn’s Restaurant in Banagher for providing the meal after the burial, it is appreciated beyond words.

To Norman Sinclair Funeral Directors, we cannot express our gratitude enough for your friendship, care, and compassion, from the moment you arrived at our home, to Roy being laid to rest in Clonfert. Your professionalism and care for Roy during this time was of great comfort to us.

To those who helped us in any way, your contribution made our huge loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

MONTH'S MIND MASS

Roy’s Month's Mind Mass will be at 7pm. on Friday 30th December 2022, in St Catherine’s Church, Aughrim.
