Seamus (Jimmy) Donegan

 Seamus (Jimmy) Donegan

Arklow, Wicklow / Shillelagh, Wicklow

Seamus’ wife Charlotte, daughters Fiona & Emer & all our family wish to extend our sincere thanks for the many expressions of respect, sympathy & support we received at the time of Seamus’s sad passing & during the weeks since.

Thank you to everyone who visited our home, attended Seamus’ removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories & warm messages online, those who travelled long distances to offer comfort & support & those who couldn’t be present but joined us in the celebration of Seamus’ life via webcam. Thanks also to those who donated generously to Wicklow Hospice in honour of Seamus’ memory; https://olh.ie/donate/

Our most sincere thanks to Dr Mark Doherty & the staff of St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Deirdre Breslin & the team at Wicklow Hospice Services, Dr Tony Bentley & all at Bradshaw’s Lane Surgery & all the wonderful staff in Adrian Dunnes Pharmacy, Arklow.

To our cousins, extended families, colleagues, friends & neighbours, we thank you for your continued support.

To Seamus’ dear friends from his many sporting interests, we thank you for your years of comradery & fun. A very special thank you to Arklow Town Football Club for the many ways in which you showed your love & gratitude for all that Seamus did for your club. Thank you to the U15 DDSL Team for their Guard of Honour & of course to Michael Morgan, Jackie Doyle, Brian Rees, Jim Forde, Brendan Earls & Frankie Brauders, “The Last of the Summer Wine” – your friendship meant so much !

Heartfelt thanks to Fr. David Brough for his prayers, comforting guidance & beautiful funeral Mass, to Stephen Walker & Bridget Kenny for such fabulous music & to Paul Leech for his beautiful musical tribute both in the church & at the graveside

Thanks also to the management & staff of The Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, to Tommy & Tom from R.S.S. for tending to the grave & all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Seamus’ Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 20th April at 6.30pm in St. Mary & Peter’s Church. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam; www.arklowparish.ie/webcam/
