The family of the late Seamus (Sham) Davis, Newtown, Monasterboice, who passed away peacefully on 4th October 2025, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss.

We are deeply grateful for the many phone calls, messages, Mass cards, letters, flowers and kind condolences shared on RIP.ie.

Our sincere thanks to the staff at Le Cheile, Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Seamus during his time there.

Thank you to Fr. Rushe for celebrating such a beautiful Mass, and to Rosemary Hussey for the lovely music.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to show their respect along the route from Townley’s Funeral Home to the Church, in particular Boyne Rugby Club for the Guard of Honour — your support meant so much to us.

Thank you to our neighbours and friends who supported us by joining us in person or via the live-streamed Mass to pay tribute to Seamus.

We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to Rosanne and all the staff at the Monasterboice Inn for your professionalism and warm hospitality on the day of Seamus’ Funeral.

A special word of thanks to Aidan, Paula, Martin, Angela and all at Townley’s Funeral Directors for their warmth, support and guidance during this very sad time.

Seamus will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
