 Seán Hannon

Arklow, Wicklow

Seán’s wife Breda, son Brian, daughter-in-law Kelley, grandsons Robbie & Scott, brother Hughie, sisters Brenda, Aileen & Anne & all his family wish to extend our sincere thanks for the many expressions of respect, sympathy & support we received at the time of Seán’s sad passing & during the weeks since.

Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, attended Seán’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories & warm messages online, those who travelled long distances to offer comfort & support & those who couldn’t be present but joined us in the celebration of Seán’s life via webcam. Thanks also to those who donated generously to Arklow Cancer Support Group in honour of Seán’s memory; www.arklowcancersupport.ie

Our most sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of St. Colmcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown & St. Vincent’s Hospital who brought such comfort & care to Seán’s final weeks. Thanks also to the team at Arklow Medical Practice & to the staff of Adrian Dunne Pharmacy.

To our own extended families, colleagues, friends & neighbours, we thank you for your continued support. To Seán’s dear friends from his many sporting interests, we thank you for your years of comradery & fun.

Special thanks to Fr. David Brough for his prayers, comforting guidance & beautiful funeral Mass, to Fr Michael Murphy & the sacristy team at St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey for their warm welcome & to Michael Flood & Patricia Kavanagh for such fabulous music.

Thanks also to the management & staff of The Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, to Joe & Tom from R.S.S. for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Seán’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 10th March at 11.30am in St. Mary & Peter’s Church. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam;
