Who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Galway University Hospital on Monday 2nd May 2022.
Sean’s wife Phil, daughters Laura and Tara, son Shane, sister Mary, brothers Richie, Larry and Tom, son-in-law Tom, grandchildren Ava and Fionn, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended Healy family would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who sympathised and supported us during the recent sad loss of our beloved Sean.
We owe a special debt of gratitude to all the medical professionals involved in Sean’s care. Especially Dr. John Flaherty and the medical and administrative staff at Main Street Clinic, pharmacists David and Sinead and the staff at Walsh’s Pharmacy, Loughrea, to the staff of Portiuncula Hospital and the paramedics and the staff in ICU at Galway University Hospital.
Thank you to our friends and neighbours who called to our home and supported us during the difficult days following Sean’s passing. Your kindness and sincerity gave us great comfort.
A special thank you to our dear friends and neighbours David and Teresa Herlihy for your helpfulness, kindness and support.
Heartfelt thank you to all who called to our home, attended the removal in Kilboy’s Funeral Home, the funeral Mass in Ballydugan Church and the burial, especially those who travelled long distances and those who couldn’t be present but joined via live stream, particularly our family in the UK.
Thank you to Sean’s former hurling teammates from Mullagh-Leitrim hurling clubs and the Transition Year students and staff from St. Raphael’s College, Loughrea who formed guards of honour at the funeral Mass.
Thank you to all who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters and floral tributes. To those who offered messages of condolences in person, by text, over the phone, on RIP.ie and for those who lit candles and kept us in your prayers, we are truly grateful.
We are overwhelmed by the kind words, shared memories and out pouring of love and respect for Sean.
Sincere thanks to Fr. Iomar Daniels for his compassion and support during this difficult time, for his prayers in our home and leading a beautiful Mass of thanksgiving and celebration of Sean’s life. Thank you sincerely to Monsignor Cathal Geraghty and Fr. Tom Fogarty (Tipperary) for concelebrating Sean’s funeral Mass.
A special word of thanks to Madeline Fleming and Padraig Connaughton for the beautiful and touching music and singing.
Thank you to everyone who prepared and participated in the Mass to make it a meaningful and fitting tribute to Sean.
To the gravediggers - our neighbours & friends, who prepared Sean’s final resting place so perfectly, our heartfelt gratitude to you.
Thank you to the Meadow Court for their lovely meal and kind hospitality following the funeral. Also, a word of gratitude to those who provided food and refreshments in our home.

Sean was blessed with wonderful family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues throughout his life. He cherished and appreciated all the kindness, friendships and support.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. In gratitude a Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered for your intentions.
Sean, you left us with beautiful memories,

A special place within our hearts will always be kept for you.
Sean’s Months Mind Mass will take place in St. Jarlath’s Church, Ballydugan on Sunday 5th June at 11am.
