Sean’s children John, Niamh, Orla, Seamus & Darragh, brothers, sisters and all our families would like to express our most sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support we received throughout Sean’s funeral & during the time since.

Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, especially those who travelled long distances or queued to pay their respects, to those who attended Sean’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, those who sent cards, flowers, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories & warm wishes online & those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Sean’s life via live-stream. Thanks also to those who donated generously to the Arklow Cancer Support Group www.arklowcancersupport.ie in Sean’s memory.

Thank you to Dr. Dara Kavanagh, Tallaght University Hospital, John Quinn Pharmacy & the team at Gorey Family Practice for their care throughout Sean’s illness. A special word of thanks to the Wicklow Hospice Palliative Care Team & Arklow Public Health Nurses who brought such comfort to his final days.

Deepest thanks to Fr. Pádraig Ó’Cochláin for his many visits & prayers & for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass and to the sacristy team at St. David’s.

Heartfelt thanks to Patricia Kavanagh, Lisa Merrigan & Michael Flood for their truly fabulous music.

Thank you to members of the Wicklow Hunt, Johnstown/Coolgreany Gymkhana Committee & St. Patrick’s N.S. Bearna Chlé for their Guards of Honour.

To our extended families, our colleagues, neighbours & friends, your continued support & kindness is much appreciated & will never be forgotten.

Thank you to our wonderful friends who tended to Sean’s grave, to the management & staff of the Woodenbridge Hotel for their hospitality.

Thank you to Niamh, Ned & Glen at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors for their compassion and kindness.

A very special thank you to all those who visited Dad during his final months, he was truly grateful for the chats and company.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Sean’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 18th June, at 10am in St. David’s Church, Johnstown.
