Sheila St Leger
Briarscourt, Shanakiel
Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
21St September 2025
As we loving remember Sheila our much loved Wife and mother on her first anniversary away from home, David St Leger and all the St Leger family wished to express our Deepest gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with us during this difficult time.
Your kindness, words of comfort and presence, supported us through our journey of grief. We extend sincere thanks to everyone who attended the removal, requiem mass and burial especially those who travelled long distance to be with us.
Special thank you to Dr. Ciara Ahern, Dr Suzanne Kelly and all at the grove Medical Centre, Dr Conor OShea, Prof. Paul Gallagher, Dr Donal Harney, and all at the Bons Secour Hospital. To Susan and the wonderful carers at Home instead who helped us care for Sheila in her own home, also the Health Nurses and OT Amalia from the orthopaedic and Frank and Annemarie from Hickey’s pharmacy. Thank you to Rose and Marymount Hospice for the wonderful care. We will be forever grateful.
Thanks to Fr. Sean O’Sullivan for celebrating Sheila’s funeral mass, Fr. Cian O’Sullivan for blessing Sheila at home. Deborah Murphy for the beautiful music. Thank you to O Connor's funeral Directors, Shandon St for their kindness and professionalism. Thank you to Gary and the Muskery Arms Blarney for organising a beautiful after/event.
To our family and friends, your presence meant the world to us. The holy Sacrifice of the mass had been offered for your intentions.
So many people knew you
And that’s what makes us proud
You were that special person
You stood out in a crowd
And for us who loved you
And who parting brought such pain,
We will cherish your memory forever
In a world that’s never the same.
