Murray Park, Dundalk, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 30 May 2023, would like to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures shown to us on our great loss. We greatly appreciate the prayers, phone calls, messages, mass cards, letters, flowers and condolences on RIP.ie.
Our sincere thanks to Doctor Nicky McCaffrey, Sister Dervla, Louise Byrnes, Public Health Nurses, Community Care Team, Herlihy’s Chemist, Pharmacist & staff and all the lovely staff of the Oriel Level 1 Ward in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Shirley during her illness. Many thanks also to the palliative care team including Doctor Elaine Wallace, Doctor Aengus & Doctor Victoria who looked after Shirley in the last few weeks of her illness.
Thank you to Fr. Aidan Murphy for such a lovely mass, Timmy Regan for the beautiful music and for such a personal and fitting tribute to Shirley.
We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who came out to show their respect along the route from Townley’s Funeral home to the Church, we were overwhelmed. Thank you to our neighbours and friends who supported us, by joining us in person or via the live streamed mass, to pay tribute to Shirley. Thank you to all of the staff of Townley’s Funeral Directors.
Shirley (Mam/Nanny/Sister) will be deeply and sadly missed and will always be remembered.
As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intensions.
Shirley’s Months Mind Mass will be held on Saturday 1st July 2023 at 10:00am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. The Mass can be viewed live on www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie.
