ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Lisnahorna, Whites Cross, who died on 9th March 2024. 

As we lovingly remember Simon on his First Anniversary, a great husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law, we the family would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to family, friends and neighbours, those who attended the Rosary, Removal and Funeral, also to those who sent Mass cards, letters, online condolences, floral tributes, enrolments and phone calls. Those who called to our home and brought sandwiches, cakes etc. To the Emergency Services, Paramedics, Gardai, Ambulance, Fire Service and the Coroner who attended to Simon. Dr. Diarmuid Quinlan and Fr. Pat Fogarty, Willie & Kathleen O’Donovan, Bill and Caroline Daly for your exceptional support. Bishop John Buckley and Fr. Pat Fogarty for all their help and support and beautiful sentiments and the Funeral Mass readers Amanda, Nicole, Adrian and Shane, Prayers of the faithful Ella, Roisin, Cian, Sean and Cillian, also Grace for helping send notes off to Grandad. Undertakers Jerh O’Connor funeral directors. Sacristan Charles McCarthy, Ministers for the Eucharist, music Ken Cotter and singer Margaret Tobin. A special word of thanks to Carrignavar Bowling Club, Bol Chumann na hEireann who Simon was a lifelong member and an All-Ireland Champion which he was very proud of till the day he died. To the Bowlers who travelled from North, South, East and West and all who travelled long distances. To the Glanmire area news and Whites Cross GAA. While it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. To all who supported us during our time of grief The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.

DAD,

One year ago today our world changed forever, our dear Dad passes away leaving a void that can never be filled. This past year has been a journey of grief, memories and learning to live without you. Dad you’re our rock, our mentor and our biggest supporter. Your wisdom, kindness and love continues to guide us every day. We miss your laughter, our conversations and the simple joy of just being with you. As we remember you today Dad, we are grateful for the time we all had together. You may not be with us physically but your spirit and the lessons you thought us live on forever. Thank you for everything Dad, your memory will always be a blessing.

Rest in peace and know that you are forever loved and missed by your loving wife Mary, sons Simon, Paul, John and daughters-in-law Amanda, Sandra and Sharon, grandchildren Nicole, Adrian, Shane, Sean, Roisin, Cillian, Cian, Ella and Grace, his sister Peggy, brothers Donie and John.
