Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

As we lovingly remember Susan on the First anniversary of her passing, her best friend and partner John, her sisters, Nora Poole, Margaret Ryan and Mary Rice, her brothers, Sean, Liam, Frank, Ger and Jimmy, her sisters in law, brothers in law, and her beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, would like to offer a most sincere thanks, to our extended family, neighbours, friends and all who sympathised with us on our sad loss. For those who phoned, sent messages of condolences, left beautiful online tributes, or sent flowers, Mass cards, sympathy cards and letters, we are truly grateful for your sympathy, support and the many kind words expressed about our beloved Susan.

A special thanks to all our neighbours, friends and colleagues who lined the roads for the funeral procession, to Clogagh Church. Not forgetting those who directed traffic on the day. We very much felt the comfort of your presence.

Unfortunately, due to Covid 19 restrictions, we were saddened that so few of us could gather, in person to celebrate Susan’s life. We appreciate that you were all, there with us in spirit.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Fr Pat Hickey for his kindness to Susan, and his beautiful celebration of Susan’s Funeral Mass with Fr John McCarthy.

Also thank you to Lucy Lawton and Susan Sweetnam, who provided music for the Mass.

We wish to thank John Michael Foley and his team from Foley Funeral Directors for their outstanding professional support, advice and empathy at such a difficult time.

We will be forever grateful to Susan’s GP, Dr Ailish Bohane and the staff of Ballymodan Family Practice. We wish to thank Dr Oonagh Gilligan and the nurses and staff of The Haematology Department, CUH, for the care given to Susan over the years. Also, the doctors, nurses and staff of Ward 2D CUH for their care of Susan.

It has been a strange and difficult year for everyone, so we are all really grateful for your support.

As it is impossible to thank each and everyone of you individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

Susan’s First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated in St Moluda’s Church Clogagh, on Wednesday, 6th October, at 9:30am.
