Susan Hegarty-Healy

 Susan Hegarty-Healy

Delaney Park, Dublin Hill, Cork

As we lovingly remember Susan Hegarty-Healy on her first anniversary today, the 29th of March, her husband Ken, daughter Louise, son-in-law Gavin and grandson Theo, wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us on our great loss.

Your calls, cards, flowers and condolences on RIP.ie were a great support to all of us. We appreciate the effort everyone made in what were unprecedented and difficult circumstances at the time due to public health restrictions.

A sincere thank you to our family, friends, kind neighbours, colleagues, those who sent flowers, Mass cards and messages of condolence.

We would also like to thank everyone who looked after Susan during her illness in CUH and Marymount, especially Professor Seamus O'Reilly and nurse Maeve.

A special thanks to Father Greg Howard for your guidance, support and kindness with the preparation of Susans funeral Mass and to all those who participated in the Mass.

To the funeral directors, Coughlans of Shandon Street, especailly Joe - our deepest thanks for your sensitive and professional handling of arrangements and for making something very difficult much easier.

To all those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Todays the anniversary
Of the day that I lost you,
And for a time it felt as though
My life had ended too.

But loss has taught me many things
And now I face each day,
With hope and happy memories
To help me on my way.

And though I'm full of sadness
That you're no longer here,
Your influence still guides me
And I still feel you near.

What we shared will never die
It lives within my heart,
Bringing strength and comfort
While we are apart.

Those special memories of you
Will always bring a smile,
If only we could have you back
For just a little while,

Then we could sit and talk again
Just like we used to do,
You always meant so very much
And always will do too,

The fact you're no longer here
Will always cause me pain,
But you're forever in my heart
Until we meet again
