ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & 1ST ANNIVERSARY
In loving memory of Ted O'Shea
late of Muckross, Killarney, Co. Kerry
who passed away on 26th April 2021
As we remember Ted on his first anniversary, his wife Cecilia, sons Bernard and Timothy, daughters Colette, Deirdre, Mairead, daughter-in-law Clare, Mairead's partner Eamon and extended family would like to thank everyone who supported us on our loss.
A sincere thank you to Fr. Kieran O’Brien and Fr. Paddy O’Donoghue for the celebration of the funeral mass and to Sharon Lyons and Anita Lakner for their special contribution in music and song. Special thanks also to Martin O’Brien for his music at the graveside.
To Michael and Mary O’Shea and staff for their kind help and guidance in arranging Ted’s funeral, our sincere thanks. A special thank you to Dr. Gary Stack and to all the dedicated doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals who supported Ted in hospital and at home. Our sincere thanks also to the caring staff of Holy Cross Day Care Centre and to Dr. Mags Clifford and the wonderful staff of the Palliative Care Unit in UHK, Tralee.
With public health restrictions at the time of the funeral, we wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy received and to thank all who watched the funeral mass online or attended outside St. Mary’s Cathedral or at the graveyard in Muckross Abbey. To our neighbours and friends who stood outside our family home and to all those who lined the way along Mangerton Road, Muckross Road and funeral route to pay their respects, our sincere thanks. A special word of thanks to Flesk Valley Rowing Club for the guard of honour along Ted’s final journey past the club and lakeshore.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
Life is but a stopping place,
a pause in what’s to be -
a resting place along the road
to sweet eternity.
And when the journey finally ends,
we’ll claim a great reward
and find an everlasting peace,
together with the Lord.
Ted’s First Anniversary Mass will take place on Sunday, 1st May, in Muckross Church at 9.30am. All welcome.
