The family of the late Terry Donoghue of Arklow and formerly of Dublin, who died on the 21st of October 2023, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. 

 

We offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered their sympathies and support, travelled long distances, sent Mass/sympathy cards, condolence messages by phone and social media and sent floral tributes, visited the funeral home, attended the service and burial and equally those who couldn't be there but kept us in their thoughts and prayers.

 

Our sincere thanks to all the caring doctors, nurses, staff and palliative care team of Sycamore Unit Connolly Hospital for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Terry and who treated both him and us with such dignity, respect and love. To Fr Tony O'Riordan for his comforting prayers and guidance.

 

We would like to thank the staff of Nephin Nursing Home for the care shown to Terry during his time there.

 

A special thank you to Thomas and Sarah Byrne who have been such a wonderful support throughout this most difficult time.

 

Thank you to those who contributed to Terry's funeral service, the readers, those that spoke about his life and work and those that presented symbols of Terry's life. Such a beautiful service would not have been possible without you. To Fr David Brough who presided over the Rite of Committal. To all the family and friends who travelled from all parts of Ireland.

 

To Helena and the staff of Hudson Funeral Directors we would like to say a special thanks for the support, empathy and professionalism shown to us during a very difficult time.

 

We would like to extend our gratitude to the grave attendants Tom and Joe for preparing Terry's final resting place and to the staff of The Old Ship who provided refreshments after the funeral.

 

To our extended families at home and abroad and our many friends and Terry's friends and neighbours the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest appreciation and gratitude. 

 

The Months Mind  Mass for Terry will be held on Saturday, the 18th of November 2023, at 6:30pm in the Church of Saint Mary and Saint Peter, Arklow.

                       And          

On Monday, the 20th of November 2023, at 7:15pm in the Carmelite Church Moate. (The Church of the ImmacuIate  Conception of Our Lady of Mount Carmel).
