 Thomas F. (Frank) HARDING

''Cnoc Mhuire'', Newtownmountkennedy, Wicklow / Clashmore, Waterford

Frank’s wife Margaret, children Ted and Brian, her grandchildren, daughters in-law, together with his sister Carmel,  brother Kevin and extended family wish to express their most heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and support shown to them during Frank’s funeral and in the subsequent weeks.

While the restrictions of the time did not afford many people the opportunity to pay their respects in person, we are most grateful for the lovely cards, letters, phone calls, texts and online messages we received.

Ted and Brian would also like to express their particular gratitude to Tim O’Regan, Celia and Stella Brannigan and Doris and Paddy Costello who have been steadfast friends to our mother over many years and have rallied to comfort and support her especially since Frank’s passing. We also wish to thank Margaret’s wonderful neighbours Pam and Michael O’Loughlin and their family who helped on countless occasions and Carrie Monteith and family for many decades of neighbourly companionship.

A special word of thanks to Canon Seán Smith, who celebrated Frank’s Funeral Mass. We are so grateful to him for being so kind, considerate and for making the celebration of Frank’s life such a memorable occasion. Heartfelt thanks also to Fr. John Daly and Rev. Eamon Clarke who attended Dad during his final weeks in Kilcoole Lodge Nursing Home.

Thanks to Patricia McCoy, Director of Nursing, and all the staff of Kilcoole Lodge Nursing Home who, along with Drs. Williams and Kent from North Wicklow Medical, took such good care of Frank during his short stay there.

The family wishes to thank sincerely the members of Delgany Golf Club who took the time to provide a guard of honour outside the church. Our thanks also to the very many people from Newtownmountkennedy and its environs who paid their respects at the funeral,  Frank’s former colleagues from Coillte, all those who joined us at Priest Newtown Cemetery, Kilquade and those who kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We are forever grateful.

Our sincere thanks also go to Margaret’s friends from the Three Trouts and St. Crispin’s Bridge clubs in Greystones for their support to her at this time.

Special thanks also to our Funeral Directors Paul O’Connor and Mark Kinsella for their professional and kind support and to those who tended to Frank’s grave.
