Acknowledgement

The relatives of the late Thomas Jarlath Gillespie  of Tarmon, Cornageeha, Pearse Road, Sligo and formerly of Avondale, Trim, Co. Meath wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy  received following our sad loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to his many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who provided support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled, sent cards, messages of condolences, we are truly grateful. The kind expressions of sympathy from his friends at the Royal Meath Show and other equestrian committees  in Co Meath were  much appreciated.

To his kind neighbours in Cornageeha and Trim, Co. Meath, to Dan and the staff at Cannings Shop for their support to Jarlath, to his former neighbours from his childhood days at  Primrose Grange, Sligo, your kindness is much appreciated.

A special word of thanks to the management and nursing staff of Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, to Dr Loftus and Dr Cosgrove  for their  kind  medical care; to Jarlath’s favourite charity Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind for their kindness; to all those who participated in the Mass especially  Rev.Fr. C. Mc Crann, to the readers Ruth Gilroy, her husband Paul and their son Max who read a very moving tribute to Jarlath, to their  daughter Marnie who sand a Capello during the mass; to the singer and the  organist, the sacristan; to Liam Flannery who kindly organised funeral support and finally to the Funeral Director, Mr Seamus Feehily and the graveyard personnel at Scarden for their dignified and respectful professionalism.

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement  as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice  of the Mass will be offered  for your intentions .

The Months Memorial Mass will take place at Star of the Sea Church , Ransboro, Sligo at 7.30pm on Oct 2nd 2021.
