The family of the late Thomas Fitzpatrick wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with us on our recent sad loss. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who attended Thomas' removal and funeral mass. To those who sent mass cards, messages of sympathy and online condolences, we are humbled by the outpouring of support we have received.
Our sincere thanks to the concelebrants of Thomas' funeral mass. To all the members of Fanore Church choir whose music and hymns enhanced the solemn occasion. A heartfelt thank you to James Nagle, of Nagle Undertakers who dealt with the arrangements with such kindness, sensitivity and professionalism.
To all our wonderful friends who brought food, refreshments and helped with catering. Your presence was a comfort. To his second family of friends, former colleagues and students from Saint Joseph's National School Terenure, Saint Patrick's College Drumcondra and the wider GAA community nationally. Your presence and support have been immense. To those who provided a guard of honour, Cumann na mBunscol Dublin and Balllyvaughan/Fanore Gaa, to the Fanore National School community and neighbours who stood in silence and respect for Thomas' final journey, we are profoundly grateful to you all. Many thanks to all who helped out with traffic management over the few days.
To all who cared for Thomas, particularly the staff at the oncology unit in University Hospital Limerick and Milford Hospice, we will be forever indebted to you. The kindness and compassion shown to Thomas and to us as a family was outstanding.
While it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledge as an expression of our deepest gratitude. We remain overwhelmed and take solace in the wonderful stories you have shared with us in recent weeks. Mass will be offered for your intentions.
