Tommy’s wife Phil, his children Wayne and Jane, his brothers, sisters & all his family would like to extend their most sincere thanks for the support & kindness shown to them throughout their recent sad loss.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, attended Tommy’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, to those who sent Mass cards, letters & texts & to those who shared kind words & happy memories online. Many thanks to those who donated generously to the family’s recent fundraiser in support of their chosen charities, and now also in aid of Wicklow Hospice;
Our heartfelt thanks to his doctor Brian O'Doherty, his pharmacist John Quinn & to our dear Trish who helped care for Tommy at home. Thank you also to the doctors, nurses & staff of Wicklow Hospice for the comfort & dignity they brought to Tommy’s final days.
Special thanks to Fr Pádraig Ó’Cochláin for his comforting prayers & beautiful funeral Mass, to the sacristy team at St. David’s Church & to Patricia Kavanagh & our own Lisa Merrigan for such beautiful music.
A special thank you to all our neighbours in Killahurler who have shown outstanding support to not only Tommy through his illness but also to Phil, words of appreciation specifically to Seamus Killoran, Eugene Byrne and Michael Breslin.
A special thank you to Tommy’s fellow hunt members; Frank Redmond & Brendan Kavanagh for leading his cortege on horseback & to Denis Murphy for sounding the horn at his graveside, such beautiful tributes.
Thank you to the management & staff of the Woodenbridge Hotel for their hospitality, to our wonderful friends & neighbours who tended to the grave & to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Tommy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 28th September at 10am in St. David’s Church, Johnstown.
