Boyle, Thomas Sr., Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on December 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom’s wife Monica, his son Tom, his two daughters Maria Murnaghan and Deirdre Harrington, along with their families are sincerely grateful to all who helped and supported us during our bereavement. We thank those who left messages on RIP.ie, who sent cards, emails and text messages and the many people who visited our family home to offer assistance or pay their last respects. We acknowledge those who showed reverence as the funeral cortege made its way to  St. Joseph’s Church.

Thank you to all the medical, nursing, paramedics, pharmaceutical and ancillary professionals along with the long-term care staff who treated Tom with dignity and empathy during his illness. This enabled and supported our family to care for him at home up until his recent short stay in hospital.

Thanks to Fr. Kevin Connolly, who celebrated the funeral Mass and Rite of Burial. Our appreciation to the Sacristans and Eucharistic Ministers in attendance at the liturgy. To the organist, conductor, soloist and St. Joseph’s church choir, thank you for the beautiful music. Our gratitude to those who travelled to be with us on this sad occasion.

We sincerely thank Deery’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism arranging Tom’s funeral, also to the grave diggers for preparing Tom’s final resting place. We appreciate the contributions of those who directed traffic and the assistance of An Garda Síochána. Many thanks to the Hotel staff who provided the meal following the burial.

Support came from many people in various forms. It is impossible to thank everyone personally  but rest assured that your prayers and kindness are greatly appreciated. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Tom’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place in St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00am.
