 Tom Creaven

Fairgreen Heights, Tuam, Galway

We Tom's family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and support shown to us on the very sad loss of Tom who passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home in the early hours of Saturday 8th November.

We are sincerely thankful to all who called to our home in the days following Tom's passing. Thanks to all who sent Mass cards, letters, floral arrangements, telephoned, sent messages of sympathy including condolences offered on RIP.

We were overwhelmed by the guard of honour and beautiful candlelight welcome home for Tom by our wonderful neighbours on Sunday afternoon, it was touching and we will never forget it. Thanks also for the guard of honour on the Tuesday morning as Tom left his beloved home for the final time.

We are deeply grateful to all who attended Tom's reposing at our home, funeral Mass and burial. We are especially grateful to those who travelled long distances to be with us. Your kindness and presence meant more than words can express.

Thanks to Fr. Pat Farragher and Fr. Mark Quinn for attending our home. Thanks to Fr. Mark for meeting Tom's spiritual needs on the morning of his passing and to Fr. Pat thank you for the beautiful and meaningful Mass and for your help in the preparation for it along with prayers in our home on the evening of Tom's reposing.

Thanks to Matt Keane whose singing and accompanying music touched us all and added to ensuring the Mass was a fitting celebration of Tom's life. Thanks to Donagh for the kind words of his family’s time spent with Tom, he revelled in it and days on the road and Sunday nights. Thanks also to Tommy for arranging the flag. Tom would have been very proud.

Thanks to Christy Burns Funeral Directors and family for your professionalism, kindness and guidance over the very difficult days following Tom's passing we are extremely grateful.

Our heartfelt thanks to the grave diggers who prepared Tom's final resting place so beautifully with such care.

Thanks to the Ard Ri House Hotel and staff for the beautiful meal following the burial.

We extend a wholehearted thank you to our wonderful neighbours, friends and family who called to our home with food and refreshments. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Thanks also to Martin & Mannions Mace, Eugene & Sharkey Express & Sean Hogan Any Event for your kindness and thoughtfulness.

Thank you to everyone who gracefully welcomed and catered for the many visitors to our home and to those who helped with stewarding and parking ensuring the safety of all who called.

Thanks to the healthcare professionals, nurses and doctors who supported us in caring for Tom through his illness.

A special word of thanks to all the healthcare professionals who enabled us care for Tom at home right to the end. Your kindness, professionalism and dedication to your work was admired by us. Without your help it would have been impossible for us to have Tom at home and for enabling us to do this for 5 months we will be eternally grateful.

We wish to acknowledge the kindness and care Tom's doctor of many years, Dr. Seamus Cunningham and his staff have always shown to Tom. Thanks also to Dr. Randhir Seetaram for your kindness to us.  Also, the staff of Feelys pharmacy thank you for the advice and chats shared with Tom over the years.

Thanks also to the first responders and Ollie Burns & Sons Funeral Directors who attended our house in the early hours of the morning of Toms passing. Your kindness and professionalism at an extremely distressing time for us as a family is greatly appreciated.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
