 Tommy Murphy

Pairc na Sáile, Arklow, Wicklow / Bray, Wicklow

Tommy’s wife Gráinne, sons Jamie & T.J., daughters Leah & Ella, his brothers, sisters, & the extended Murphy & Mulvey families wish to thank, most sincerely, each & every one of you who offered condolences, support & kindness at the time of Tommy’s sudden passing & in the weeks since.

Thank you to those of you who came to pay your respects & share happy memories of Tommy & equally to those who couldn’t be present but took the time to phone, write or send messages online. Many thanks to all who joined in the celebration of Tommy’s funeral Mass & burial, especially those who travelled long distances, & to family & friends who took part in the liturgy of the Mass.

To all our wonderful friends & neighbours, we will be forever grateful for the many kindnesses you continue to show & for your many touching tributes to Tommy.

Very special thanks to the Arklow Gardaí & the Arklow Ambulance Service for your great efforts on the day he passed away. To Tommy’s colleagues who were with him at the end, we are grateful that the last faces he saw & voices he heard were those of friends.

Sincere thanks to Fr. David Brough for your words of comfort & for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass & to the truly talented Rose, Emer, Aoife, Catriona & Rosarie whose music brought such beauty to the celebration of Tommy’s life.

To Tommy’s friends & teammates at Ballywaltrim F.C., both past & present, he would have been so proud of your respectful Guard of Honour & of the many tributes published. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you also to Bill & Joe for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Tommy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 20th September at 11.30am in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the Arklow Parish Webcam.
