Mitchell, Tony Óg, Carraroe, 8 th November 2021. Tony’s wife Maire, children Conall, Iarlaith, Agatha, Meadhbh & Aodh, sisters Lorraine, Bernadette & Patricia & all his family wish to express our sincere & heartfelt thanks for the support & kindness we received throughout Tony’s illness, at the time of his sad passing on November 8 th & in the weeks since.

Thanks to family & friends who called to our home to bid Tony farewell, to those who lined his final journey home & the funeral route including the pupils of Scoil Mhic Dara and Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiaráin and those who assisted with traffic management.

Also, thanks to those whoattended his removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards, floral tributes & those who phoned, text, wrote or shared happy memories online. Our most sincere gratitude to those of you who travelled long distances to support & comfort us. Equally, we thank those of you who, due to current circumstances, couldn’t be present but kept Tony& all of us in your thoughts & prayers.

Thanks to Fr. Hughie Loftus, the musicians and all who helped in making Tony’s funeral mass a celebration of his life. Also, thanks to the undertaker Josie Lydon, all who helped with arranging the grave and all the food and catering we received during this time.

A special thank you to the people both professional and close friends who supported Tony over the years, to the medical professionals especially locally &at UCHG and the Garda Siochana who aided Tony and to those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Tony Óg Mitchell will be held on December 4th 2021 at 7.30pm in Séipéal Mhic Dara, Carraroe, Co. Galway.

Tá muid fíor bhuíoch do chuile dhuine a tháinig ag an teach, a chuir teachtaireachtaí againn agus a d’fhreastal ar an tsochraid agus ar Aifreann na Marbh. Buíochas leis na daoine a bhí amuigh ar an mbóthair, do na daoine a
rinne Garda onóra, don fhoireann agus na gasúir ó Scoil Náisiúnta Mhic Dara agus Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiaráin agus leis na daoine a stiúradh cúrsaí tráchta.

Buíochas leo siúd a thaisteal píosa fada ó bhaile agus a chuir turas orthu fhéin ag teacht go dtí an Cheathrú Rua. Do na daoine nach raibh in ann freastal ar an tsochraid mar gheall ar chúrsaí géarchéime ach a raibh muid ina bpaidreacha. Tá muid go mór faoi chomaoin agaibh.

Buíochas leis an Athair Hughie Loftus, na ceoltóirí na daoine a chuidigh leis an uaigh a bhaint. Buíochas leis an Adhlacóir Josie Ó Loideáin, na daoine ar fad a chuir sólaistí ar fáil le linn na sochraide.

Buíochas do na daoine a chuidigh le Tony le linn a thinneas, poitigéirí, dochtúirí agus lucht an othar charr. Buíochas speisialta don fhoireann leighis go háitiúil agus i UCHG, don Gharda Síochána a chuidigh leis le blianta anuas. Bheadh sé do dhéanta buíochas a ghlacadh le chuile dhuine a chuidigh linn le
linn na sochraide agus le blianta anuas.
