As we lovingly remember Vincent, on his First Anniversary, his wife Frances and family would like to acknowledge the kindness and generosity of our relatives, neighbours, and friends who supported us in any way during the difficult time of Vincent’s short illness.
Thanks to all those who attended the wake and funeral, and to all who brought food and refreshments. Thanks to those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, phone calls, text messages and left messages on RIP.ie and on social media and who prayed for us during these times. We would also like to acknowledge all those who came out to show their respects on the route to the Church and outside the Church and graveyard on the day of the funeral. A Special thank you to the retired Garda Members who walked in procession with us and the guard of honour to say farewell to their friend and colleague.
A special word of thanks goes to Vincent’s personal carer, Ann Mitchell who attended our home every day for some months and Linda and the Palliative Care team at night in his final days. The respect, dedication, care, and friendship they showed to Vincent allowed him to be comfortable at home right to the end, and for that we will be forever grateful.
We would like to thank Dr Bartlett and team and all the Tullamore Medical Centre, the Pharmacist’s and all staff at O’Donovan’s Pharmacy, Church Road. Our heartfelt thanks to Public Health Nurses and Occupational Therapists for their care, advise and support.
We thank Fr Fergal and Fr Sean for their spiritual direction, attending Vincent which meant so much to him during his illness and for conducting such a beautiful and touching funeral Mass. Thank you to Noreen Rabbitt for the heartfelt singing at the Mass. Thanks to Phil O’ Reilly Funeral Services for the caring, sensitive and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Thanks to the gravediggers for preparing Vincent’s final resting place in Clonminch and to Horan’s Stonework’s for the Headstone preparation.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest gratitude to you all. A Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Vincent’s first Anniversary Mass will be held at 1.00p.m. on Sunday 15th January.
