Who passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda on Monday 7th December, 2020.

We the family of the late Vincent Duffy wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement. We would like to thank all our neighbours and friends who provided us with help and support during the time of the wake and funeral, those who called to offer sympathy, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, telephoned, text messaged, posted messages of condolence and sent flowers.    

A special word of thanks to the Doctors and staff in the Kingscourt Surgery in particular Dr.McCullagh for her professionalism and kindness to Vincent over the years. Thank you to the nurses and staff in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital who looked after Vincent with care and compassion in his final weeks and to Bronagh and the staff in Dunaree pharmacy for their help over many years.

 We were humbled by the large number of people who lined the route from the funeral home to the house on the Tuesday evening and again on the day of the funeral from the house to St. Patrick’s Church, Rock Chapel. Thank you also to those who were at the Church and to those who organised guards of honour. Sincere thanks to Fr. Philip Crowe for his celebration of a lovely Mass and funeral liturgy and to the Eucharistic Minister and the Sacristan. We would also like to thank Barry and Liebe for their beautiful music and singing.

A special word of thanks to Lonergan Funeral Directors for their care and professionalism in co-ordinating and managing the funeral arrangements. Thanks also to the gravediggers who prepared Vincent’s final resting place.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.

The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for all your intentions at a later date.
