 William Kavanagh

Cork City, Cork

On William's first anniversary 23/01/2025 his wife Rachel, sons Shane, Liam and Bobby and extended family would like to thank all those who shared in our heartbreaking loss of William.

Those who sent flowers, mass cards and messages of sympathy, kind neighbours and friends. To all who attended William's prayers in O' Connors and burial we are forever grateful.

The oncology team in C.U.H, especially Dr. Sinead Noonan, Dr. Alex Bryan and Nurse Niamh for the compassion and empathy shown to William and his family. A special mention to Dr. Carol McGibney who's support went beyond the boundaries of the consultation room, we could contact you anytime night or day, you gave William great care and solace when he needed it the most, I will never forget your kindness.

Thank you to Dr. Jeremy Gibson and Dr. Anita Naxakis and all the staff from Deasy's pharmacy, Shandon Street.

Finbarr of O' Connors Funeral Home.

To Cork City Council and all his friends and colleagues from the Gully Department, Ballyvolane.

To everyone who knew William from his love of music to his passion for fly fishing, fly tying and guiding also the numerous fishing clubs he was a member of especially the cork and district pike anglers.

A mass for William's first anniversary will be celebrated at 9am in the North Cathedral on the 26/01/2025.

Those who die in grace go no further from us than God and God is very near.

The song is ended, but the melody lingers on in our hearts.
