Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
As we lovingly remember and deeply miss our beloved husband and Dad, Willie, on his First Anniversary, we, his wife, Myra and his children, Debbie, Lorraine, Gavin and Sean as well as all his grandchildren and extended family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support over the last year.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to Willie's sisters Betty, Maura and Esther, the many family members, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the removal and funeral service and who provided emotional and practical support for us throughout this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent cards and comforting messages of condolences, those who made charitable donations, and anyone who kept us in their thoughts and prayers, we are truly grateful.
A special word of thanks to the staff of Supervalu Carrigaline, Dr Jason van der Velde, Carrigaline Community First Responders and the Staff of CUH for your calm and compassionate care of Willie.
Thanks to Carrigaline United AFC for facilitating the removal and organising the guards of honour at both the removal and funeral service and all your support over the last year.
We are most grateful to Monsieur Aidan O'Driscoll, Fr James McSweeney, Fr Michael O'Connell and all the priests who celebrated such a beautiful Funeral Service and for your guidance and support, which we deeply appreciate. To the choirs and musicians who participated in the Funeral Mass, thank you for your time, talent, and the grace you brought to the funeral mass.
To everyone who supplied us with food during a time when it was the farthest thing from our minds, thank you.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
The First Anniversary Mass for Willie will be held on Sunday 4th January at 11:15am in Church of Our Lady & St John, Carrigaline.
All welcome.
