The family of the late Willie Donnelly wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Thank you to those who attended and travelled to the wake and funeral. Thank you to everyone who sent Mass cards, Sympathy cards, messages of condolence and floral tributes.
We express our gratitude to those involved in Willie’s care throughout his illness, Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care Team.
A special thank you to Canon Walshe for officiating at the Requiem Mass at St Mary’s in Castleblayney and Fr Maloney for officiating the burial at St Patrick Church Cemetery in Crossmaglen. Thank you to those who participated in the Mass and to the ex-servicing members and serving members of the Irish Defence forces who formed a Guard of Honour at the Church.
A special word of thanks to Dr Mary Flanagan, the staff at Coyle’s Pharmacy in Castleblayney, Aidan Campbell and Brendan Hughes & Sons Funeral Directors for their professionalism, guidance, kindness and support and for the dignified way they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of the family’s sincere gratitude and appreciation.
A Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated for Willie in St Mary’s Church, Castleblayney on Sunday 26th October 2025 at 11.30a.m
