Lonergan Funeral Directors have returned to serve the people of Carrickmacross, South Monaghan and beyond. Padraig Lonergan, who was in the Undertaking business for over twenty years, has re-established the business with his wife, Catriona - Monaghan's newest Funeral Director.

Paddy Lonergan purchased The Shirley Arms Hotel in 1930 and founded his Undertaking business. All aspects of the business flourished, not least the Undertaking, and in time Paddy's sons Oliver and Noel joined him in the family business. On Noel's retirement, Padraig came on board, and while he was involved in all aspects of the business, he was to the forefront in the Undertaking side of things. It has always been Padraig's ambition to re-establish Lonergan Funeral Directors - a name synonymous with Undertaking in South Monaghan, and he is delighted to do so now, ably assisted by his wife Catriona.

Our aim at Lonergan Funeral Directors is to provide the highest standard of service in a discrete and professional manner, with compassion and respect for the families we serve.
