The Irish Blue Cross

The charity operates from a small animal clinic based in Inchicore, Dublin 8 and from mobile veterinary clinics in ten locations across the greater Dublin area each week-day evening.  The small animal clinic veterinary team provide consultations, procedure and surgeries as well as performing X-rays, ultra-sounds, blood and other tests all with the mission to restore pets to full health. 

On the mobile clinics each evening, the veterinary team provide essential frontline veterinary services.  A practical and caring approach is at the heart of The Irish Blue Cross clinic work and the charity advocates education about responsible pet ownership, providing existing clients and young pet owners of tomorrow with information and support on how to be a responsible pet owner.  

There is a particular focus on preventative health measures such as regular health-checks, vaccinations and microchipping.  Many thousands of sick and needy pets receive the charity’s care each year.  Every animal is cared for compassionately and the team of vets, veterinary nurses and volunteers are caring and understanding towards pets and owners alike. 

The Irish Blue Cross mobile clinics operate in Cabra, Tallaght, Crumlin, Blanchardstown, Ballyfermot, Ballybrack, Smithfield, Walkinstown, Finglas and Donnycarney.    These clinics are run by dedicated volunteers drivers, assistants and veterinary personnel.
