Matthew (Matt) Twomey

 Matthew (Matt) Twomey

16 Minor Row, Millstreet, Cork

As we lovingly remember Matt on his First Anniversary, we his family wish to express our deep gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with us on our sad loss, during this challenging time. Thanks to those that sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy and messages of condolences online.

Because of the current circumstances we are saddened that we have still not been able to meet with extended family members and friends to remember Matt together. A Remembrance Mass will be held in his memory when it is safe to do so.

We extend our utmost thanks to Canon John Fitzgerald who celebrated the funeral mass, Tarrant’s Undertakers and Cora Riordan for their help and professionalism, our great neighbours, relatives and friends of whom it would be impossible to thank individually.

Sincere thanks to Connie Houlihan for his wonderful piping at the graveside, ensuring that music which was such an important part of Matt’s life was also there at the end.

A special word of thanks to Dr Patrick Casey and his practice colleagues, the wonderful public health nurses and the incredible team of home carers all of whom ensured that Matt was supported to remain in his own home until his peaceful passing.

Further words of gratitude to his neighbour Tony O’Brien and Tony’s team who were always there for Matt.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions and an online Anniversary Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, on Monday, April 26th, in St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet.
