We shared many a philosophical discussion over a cup of tea in the FDS office in OConnell St. Dungarvan. He was a man of great integrity, wisdom and wit. He had a superb sense of natural justice and guided many a farmer and colleagues through the various rules of compliance to facilitate progress. May he rest in peace

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Michael. I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to His wife Marion and Children Michael,Deirdre, Claire, and Muireann and to his extended Family members. I have great memories of going to Forestry college with Michael In early 70s and for his great love of Waterford Soccer and his talents to play all Codes. He was a very gentle mannered person. He changed his career path into Agriculture later and our paths rarely met. Rest In Peace In your native Waterford.

A thorough gentleman Michael was. I first got to know him in the farm development office in Dungarvan. He was so helpful when i was embarking on the modernisation of the farm yard.
