Condolences to Hannah,Andy ,,Ann-Marie,Tommy,Cathy and the Duggan on the death of Sonny.RIP
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
Each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it,
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during
the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

We watched Sonny's funeral mass on YouTube on the computer.
What a lovely tribute to a wonderful man.
Thank you for sharing his funeral with us as we could not be there.
Sonny always had a smile on his face and yes, he did wear those white shoes in Ireland.
It made him stand out.
Take solace that he is in a better place and that he has joined his family that went before him.
Keep hold of the memories and share the laughter. He is with you always. Don't forget that!
Life on this earth is temporary, make the most of it.
God Bless you all.

Dearest Hannah,
Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends and family for strength, and always remember how much you are loved.
Your husband help me and my family when times were tough.
We never forgot his kindness. He'd give you the last 2 pence in his pocket.
A fine man who will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Those who didn't know him, will learn what a gentleman he was.
Rest in Peace, Sonny.
Bless and protect your family from Heaven.
