Although you no longer walk beside us Mammy, you will never be forgotten. Your voice still echoes in our hearts, your love still surrounds us and your spirit continues to guide us. You were not just a parent, a teacher, a member of the community, you were a force of quiet strength, gentle wisdom and unwavering love and faith.

For over 40 years, you stood at the front of a classroom, shaping young minds with patience, care and compassion. You weren’t just a teacher by profession; you were a teacher by nature. You taught lessons far beyond textbooks: lessons of kindness, resilience, humility and grace. Your students remember you not just for what you taught, but for how you made them feel; heard, valued, respected and believed in.

At home, you nurtured all eleven of us and all the grandchildren, where each of us was a blessing, a joy, a soul to guide with love. Your patience was infinite and your sacrifices countless. You were loved by everyone who met you, you left a mark on everyone’s heart. Your kindness was not loud, but it was unforgettable.

Though we still grieve, we are also filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the time we had, for the lessons you gave and for the love you never failed to show. Your legacy is written in the lives you touched; your family, students, friends, the community and even those who knew you just in passing.

Rest in everlasting peace Mudsie. Needless to say, you deserve it! We will carry both your & Daddy’s light always.
