Deepest sympathies to all of Tony's family. I only learned of his passing today. I knew Tony when he worked in NLN Cavan. He was a kind and witty man and will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Dolores and family, it was lonesome to receive the sad news about the passing of Tony. I was on air with my Late Show on Midwest Radio when I got a text from John Glenn relaying the sad tidings. I got to know Tony so well during the ten months I spent in Castleblayney around 1979 when working with Entertainment News which was owned and promoted by Tony Loughman at the time. We were all based in the same premises where Big Tom's Studio was also located and where Tony did so much wonderful work. I met him three or four years ago in 'Blayney and it was lovely to renew acquaintances again. He never lost his love for country music and enjoyed sharing memories from those special and golden days in 'Blayney. He was a good and kind man and he will be greatly missed by ye all. Rest in peace, Tony.
