Sincere condolences to Ger and the extended Traynor family on the sad and unexpected passing of Bernard, RIP. I first worked with Bernard in Dún Laoghaire over 40 years ago and our paths crossed from time to time since then. In recent years I sometimes bumped into him on walks at lunchtime around Dublin, and we always caught up on the news of ex Revenue Staff we had known, and may other matters of the day. Our conversations always ended with a laugh and a smile. May he rest in peace.

I have fond memories from our time working in Mooney's, followed by years in Customs. We loved when Bernard would visit us in Inch and sometimes stay a while during Customs operations in Donegal. He was a larger than life character, always with a smile on his face and up for the crack. Such a loss of a great guy.
